AIR CONDITIONERS
Here you will find a good range of portable Air Conditioning units that are suitable for home, office and any other small spaces like conservatories, workshops, garages and even caravans.

As well as cooling the air, Air Conditioners also purify and dehumidify it, removing dampness and creating cool, cleaner, breathable air. Some of our models also have heaters which make them a good all year round investment.

To choose the right Air Conditioner, you need to know the size of the room you want to cool:

  • For small rooms (up to 200 sq ft / 20ft x 10ft), choose a unit between 7,000 and 8,000 BTUs (British Thermal Units )
  • For medium sized rooms (up to 360 sq ft / 20ft x 18ft), select a unit between 9,000 and 12,000 BTUs
  • For large rooms (up to 500 sq ft / 25ft x 20ft), choose a 14,000 or 15,000 unit

    As a basic principle, the warmer the room, the more BTU you need. Take into account the number of people and/or computers and even how sunny it is!

    • HOW DO AIR CONDITIONERS WORK?
    Air conditioners require ventilation to help dispel moisture and hot air. They come with a short hose which needs to be placed near an open window or even another (unused!) room. The hoses are approx. 5" in diameter and SHOULD NOT be extended.
    To cool the air, environmentally friendly refrigerant is used and all models are now energy efficient, costing not much more than a domestic fridge.

    In s ome of the units, water needs to be drained every so often. This is done by emptying a small tray. However all remove condensation through the hose.

    Options include a heater, remote control and a timer so you can set to automatically switch off at night. All or our products are brand new, UK spec and come with 1 years warranty.

    AIR CIRCULATORS
    Air Circulators are the best way of circulating air around any type of office or retail space.

    Air Circulators are large and circulate more air and cool breeze better than conventional fans, especially in larger spaces.

    DEHUMIDIFIERS
    Heat and humidity combine to produce hot and 'sticky' air.

    This type of environment can trigger breathing difficulties eg asthma. dehumidifiers can help create a better atmosphere.
